» Optiphase Announces New Executive Vice President

Van Nuys, CA — April 29, 2003 — Optiphase, Inc. announced today that Mike Weinstock has joined the company as Executive Vice President.  Mr. Weinstock will be responsible for the company’s business development.  Major areas of focus are establishing strategic business plans, initiating major customer relationships and leveraging the company’s leadership technologies in fiber optic sensor solutions for sustained market growth.

Wide-ranging commercial business experience

Mr. Weinstock is a senior level executive in the high-tech industry with over 20 years experience with world-class product based solution providers.  Most recently Mr. Weinstock was involved in a successful semiconductor start-up where he was instrumental in creating the company’s business plan that garnered the firm’s 2nd round of Venture Capital funding and for ramping sales that assured the company’s sustained revenue growth over the next 2 years.  Mike has held senior Sales, Marketing and Strategic Planning positions with Hitachi-Koki, Co., LTD. where he led the company’s entry into new markets from both corporate and operational functions.  Mr. Weinstock also has launched several innovative and successful fiber-optic products in networking markets in various positions with ADC Telecommunications, Inc. [formerly Fibermux] and Harris Corporation.
